Belgian Footballer, Joel Lobanzo Dies @ 17

Belgian footballer Joel Lobanzo has passed away after suffering a heart attack during training. The Royal Antwerp player died a day after collapsing during an under 19 session aged just 17.

Club doctors treated him immediately at the training centre on Tuesday night before he was transferred to hospital but tragically died on Thursday morning.

A statement on the club's website said: "From respect for Joel and his family, the club wishes to limit communication.

"A time of mourning breaks, which we want to spend all serenity. We convey our deepest feelings of compassion to Joel's family and friends."

Kenya's Lecturers Strike Over Unfulfilled Pay Deal

Kenyan lecturers in public universities have launched a strike to protest against what they call the government’s continued failure to implement a March deal to boost salaries and housing allowances.

Wednesday’s strike piles pressure on the government after a strike by nurses in public hospitals over the past few months has paralyzed health care services countrywide.

It also worsens the plight of more than half a million students in 31 public universities, since the lecturers ended a 54-day strike over pay in February and signed a pact with the government in March.

Nigerian buys South African man G-Wagon to apologise for impregnating his wife, and he accepts

After he learnt that his girlfriend was pregnant for him, a Nigerian man identified as John reportedly bought his South African girlfriend’s husband a G-Wagon to apologize. It was gathered that after the man received the car, he forgave John for sleeping with his wife.

Daily Live, a South-African news website reported that after giving the man the car gift, John said;

“I know what I did is wrong but I feel better he has accepted my gift. He accepted that his wife, my girlfriend, is pregnant and will soon give birth to my son. He was angry at first but when I presented the car to him his anger vanished”.
