Reps Hail Crippled Beggar Turned Lawyer, OAU’s Record-Breaker

The House of Representatives on Tuesday celebrated a former physically-challenged Lagos beggar, Mr. Abdulsalam Kamaldeen, and Miss Aarinola Olaiya, for their academic feats.

While Kamaldeen overcame his physical challenge as a crippled beggar to graduate as a lawyer, Olaiya was honoured by the House for the rare academic feat of being the first medical student to graduate with distinction in Surgery at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, since 1989.

Kamaldeen, 38, whose story was first published in The Punch some years back, and Olaiya, 24, received a standing ovation from lawmakers during the plenary of the House in Abuja.

This came after members had debated a motion moved by the Leader of the House, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, to celebrate the two young Nigerians.

Tupac Ex-Girlfriend To Sell His Full Frontal Shot

If you want some California love from Tupac Shakur, it's about to go on sale, lol... a full frontal shot of the rap legend is dropping soon!

The photo was taken in the middle of a 1990 house party in Marin County. Pac would frequently try to shock his pals by exposing his twig, berries and the vast surrounding shrubbery.

This particular night Pac's gf at the time threatened to snap a photo if he didn't cover up. Of course, he didn't back down, and the d**k pic was born, lol.

His ex wants to privately sell it for $7,500. A rock 'n' roll auction house is accepting offers, but if she can't get the asking price, the woman plans to let it go to the highest bidder. There are other party pics she's planning to sell as well. Talk about being an ex and about to ball! Loool.

Australian Senate Passes Same-Sex Marriage Bill

It was a scene of jubilation on the floor of the Australian Senate chamber Wednesday as lawmakers embraced and cheered following the historic passage of a bill to legalize same-sex marriage.

Forty-three senators voted in support of the legislation while 12 voted against. Passed without any amendments, the marriage equality bill now heads to the House of Representatives, also known as the lower house, where it’ll be voted on Monday.

With the majority of lawmakers in the lower house in favor of the bill, it’s expected to pass with ease. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull had promised to legalize gay marriage by Christmas ― a vow he’ll now likely be able to fulfill.

Earlier this month, Australians overwhelmingly voted yes on marriage equality in a national postal survey. More than 61 percent of the 12.7 million people who voted in the nonbinding poll expressed their support of gay marriage
